Your personal brand is what other people think, say, and feel about you. You differentiate through personal branding efforts – communicating your uniqueness.

Then what is personal branding? It is the opportunity to differentiate yourself as a personal brand and authority in your area of expertise.

More about your personal brand?

A personal brand is the infusion of your personality into your business.

It is the first impression people have of you when you meet them online or in person.

Ultimately, it’s what other people think, say, and feel about you.

Your personal brand is the perception others have of you.

It is an experience…what emotions do you invoke? Was there an emotional connection when someone met you? Did they have a positive gut reaction when you told them who you are and what you do?

Your personal brand is your identity when you are not in the room. It is how others describe you when you are not present.

What is Your Why?

Your why is a significant part of your personal brand. Ask yourself these questions:

  • Why do I do what I do?
  • How do you serve the people I serve, and why are they who I serve?

The why is more important than the how.

Why is Personal Branding Important

Why is personal branding important?  Because people do not buy products and services. People buy personalities.

The emotional connection we create is what builds the know, like, and trust factor, which we have to have for people to purchase from us or hire us.
