blank space

Many people have questions about how to sell but don’t realize the best salespeople are selling from a place of integrity and alignment with their values.

Seeking validation through achievements.

Achieving success but losing self is a common thread among high-achieving women. Elyse realized that she had to release what she had created in her life no matter the fear of stepping into the unknown. As she left the security of her corporate sales job, she went on a journey of self-discovery. She left a toxic relationship and got treatment for her eating disorder.

The danger of staying in your comfort zone?

Being part of a community of like-minded people helps you grow and step out of the false security of continuing where you are. The comfort zone is the most dangerous place to be. If we aren’t being challenged we aren’t growing. Sometimes you have to force yourself outside of your comfort zone to move to the next level. It may be time to step into something greater.

There are times we have to trust God is guiding us and move forward in trust. By following the opportunities presented to us we may have to dig deep to overcome fear and insecurity, but we will be better off for the experiences. Robyn emphasized that when you feel something in your heart, that is God calling you to take action.

We can’t follow our dreams and goals to serve others if we aren’t in a place of abundance and financial security.

Robyn Graham interviewed Elyse Archer on The Robyn Graham Show. Elyse shared how to sell with integrity and alignment. On the podcast graphic is a photo of Robyn in a sea foam green dress that is v-neck, sleeveless and has ruffles around the top, the podcast name with a microphone and a photo of Elyse with long blond hair, wearing a black blazer and leaning on the back of a red chair with her arms crossed over the back of it.

The Reputation Formula – When asking yourself how to sell, think about creating a personal brand and building your reputation first.

The Brand Builders Group is a personal brand strategy group that created this formula. Elyse is one of the founding members of the organization.

Elyse stated that your personal brand is synonymous with your reputation. The reputation formula is your results multiplied by your reach equals your reputation. What matters more, incredible results or a large following? If you are creating great results but no one knows about you, you don’t really have a reputation. The flip side of that is that if you aren’t making a positive impact on others or are producing negative results, but have a huge following, you may not have a positive reputation.

It is important to grow your reach to share your results and be seen as someone who produces results. This will build your reputation. Your results and reach both are important for building your reputation.

You can be Instagram-rich and dollar poor. Only two percent of your social media followers will see your content, you must have an email list.

Your personal brand is an experience.

Tips for creating a personal brand.

How to sell effectively starts with alignment with your values.

Selling for women starts with relationship building, loving people, and taking care of people. Sales are often thought of as fitting inside of a box that doesn’t work for women. The masculine energy of doing, following a process, a + b = c. Feminine energy, on the contrary, is very non-linear.

Instead of thinking about selling, think about how you can build a personal brand, draw people in, and magnetize people to you to build deeper relationships. Follow your intuition and reach out to people even if they aren’t on your prospect list for the day.

As women, we have natural traits that are great for sales. Sales do not have to be done in a masculine way.

It is important to know that if something feels off, you don’t have to do it that way. Following your inner guidance is how you’ll get the best results.

The keys to sales are compassion, empathy, setting emotional boundaries, and self-worth.

One thing that Elyse recommends is not becoming best friends with someone on a prospect call. As women, that is easy to do. If you sell through conversations, it’s important to remember that it is a disservice to get overly friendly with the prospect. We have to learn to toe the line of having compassion and having a fierce intention to help others move forward in favor of their highest good because that is the best thing we can do for them.

It’s important to take our needs to be liked and approved out of the equation. Elyse does a lot of inner child work with herself and her clients.

Compassion and empathy are key in sales, we just have to know how to leverage them.

If we don’t sell, we are doing a disservice to those who do need our services or the solutions we provide.

Your calling is someone else’s signal. When you feel that call to put something into the world, it is coming from someone who needs you to solve a problem for them. They need your specific viewpoint on how to solve their problem.

We have to remind ourselves to think about the prospective client, not ourselves.

When considering how to sell, remember this surprising factor that skyrockets women’s income – self-worth.

Your income will never exceed your level of self-worth.

If you don’t think you are worthy of making money because you haven’t seen anyone in your family do it, you will hold yourself back. It is important to do the deep inner work around your worthiness to make money. It can be challenging, especially if you’ve had a lot of conditioning about not being worthy.

Your level of worthiness is often what is capping your income level.

What would people think of you if you were number one?

We are often conditioned not to be too shiny, or too much because then we are a target.

Some exercises to tap into your self-worth and money.
  • Practice filtering decisions through the lens of someone who has that thing, the amount of money, that you make. What would the 7-figure version of you do?
  • Re-condition the neuro pathways in your brain. Practice thoughts of worthiness and goals. And is the goal worthy of you? It is a thought paradigm that has to shift. “You trade your life for your goals.” – Bob Proctor Think of it as needing to set higher goals because you want to matter and make a difference, a big impact on the world. If you are doing all of the work, and tasks, in your business, you are worthy of accomplishments and money.

More on money mindset.

When thinking about how to sell or build a business, trust yourself!

As women, we learn not to trust our bodies and our hearts, and tend to go into our heads. Our truth and our best and discovering our highest good is going to come by listening to what our heart is calling us to do. It may never be logical and you may not have the money ahead of time, but your truth is there. Practice listening to yourself with the small things and then the big things. Everything you want comes when you live this way, trusting yourself and being in alignment with your values. Peace will also come when you live this way.
